Curaçao makes history in World Cup qualifying

Willemstad - Curaçao is on a historic run in qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. With a population of just 156,000, our island could become the smallest nation ever to qualify for a World Cup, a world-class achievement.

After its impressive victory over group favorite Jamaica, Curaçao is currently at the top of the group, with 7 points from 3 games. This puts them ahead of countries such as Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, and Bermuda.

The next step comes Tuesday, October 14, 2025, when Curaçao takes on Trinidad & Tobago. After that, there are still a few away games that will be crucial in the race to the World Cup.
