Oct 6
1 min read

For Curaçao, the month of September ended on a high note with a memorable sporting highlight. On Thursday, September 24, the Curaçao national football team faced Costa Rica in the CONCACAF Nations League.

The team, led by Dick Advocaat, had a difficult first half and went into halftime trailing 3-0.

After the break, the match completely turned around. Curaçao came back strongly and eventually secured a 3-4 victory, with goals from Kenji Gorré, Tahith Chong and Jordi Paulina.

But the excitement did not stop there. On Sunday, September 27, Curaçao played a convincing 6-1 victory over Nicaragua at home.

The winning streak even continued on Thursday, October 1, as Curaçao secured a 1-0 victory over Trinidad and Tobago. Juninho Bacuna scored the only goal of the match in the second half, earning Curaçao its third consecutive win in the CONCACAF Nations League.

With three impressive wins in a row, the national team has made a strong start to the CONCACAF Nations League, and it looks like it could be an exciting football season for Curaçao.
