The coastline of Curaçao and the neighboring islands is known for caves and underground cavities that, if undetected, can impact construction and potentially cause ground deformation or structural damage.
To ensure a safe foundation, Geotron Caribbean BV has been engaged to conduct advanced subsurface investigations. Using Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT), this technique measures underground electrical resistance to create detailed images of the soil layers and identify potential cavities, including their depth and approximate size.
