Curaçao’s Business Confidence Reaches Record High in 2025

Willemstad – Curaçaoan entrepreneurs are more optimistic than ever. The island’s business confidence index has reached its highest level since records began in 2010, according to new data from the Central Bureau of Statistics.
Three out of four businesses express confidence in the economic outlook, a modest yet meaningful rise compared to last year. Only five percent report low confidence, underlining a broadly positive sentiment across the private sector.
Small Businesses Leading the Recovery
The recovery is particularly strong among small enterprises. Over 60% expect to report profits this year, up from less than half a year ago. This renewed optimism suggests that local entrepreneurs are seeing tangible benefits from the island’s post-pandemic rebound.
Tourism-Driven Growth
Curaçao’s thriving tourism sector continues to fuel economic momentum. The services industry is showing robust growth, with 84% of hospitality businesses reporting higher revenues, largely driven by sustained visitor arrivals and longer stays.
Investment Climate Hits New Heights
Confidence in the investment climate has also strengthened. Nearly one-third of companies now rate it as “good”, the highest score ever recorded. The combination of renewed business optimism and strong tourism performance underscores Curaçao’s growing appeal as a place to invest, build, and innovate.
A Record-Breaking Index
The Business Confidence Index jumped from 114 to 127, placing it well above pre-pandemic levels. This indicator reflects expectations around future business activity, investment, and revenue growth, all pointing firmly upward.
